Psychiatry - Work Study
This is a rodent behavioral study jointly directed by a faculty from the department of psychiatry (Dr. Prasad) and a faculty from neurobiology (Dr. Thiels). The study will be conducted in the rodent behavior analysis core facility located in BST 3. It involves training and testing virally-infected mice in behavioral paradigms, conducting molecular and immunohistological assays for viral presence in critical brain regions, and carrying out basic data analysis. The student should have some experience in handling rodents, PCR techniques, and sectioning and staining brain tissue, or be willing to learn these techniques. Students with a background in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology, and with pipetting skills will be preferred. Total work hours that need to be committed vary from 2-4 hours a day.

Western Psychiatric Institute / Clinic Late-Life Depression Program - Office Assistant for Geriatric Psychiatry Research
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for performing various administrative tasks in support of grants investigating rehabilitation from stroke and geriatric psychopathology. These duties include but are not limited to; updating non-confidential files, photocopying, shredding and filing, assembling data packets, preparing mailings, basic word processing and data entry. 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

College of Business Administration - Front Desk Staff
We are expecting to hire one Pitt student to work in the College of Business Administration’s (CBA) Center for Student Success (CSS). This center houses the offices of Academic Advising, Career Services, Student Records, Study Abroad and the Robert S. McCullough Family Alumni Networking Zone.
We are searching for energetic and organized students to provide customer service at the front desk in the following ways:
•Welcome and assist all visitors (students, faculty/staff, and corporate representatives).
•Respond to phone calls and emails.
•Maintain CSS staff calendars.
•Receive and sort mail; make deliveries.
•Provide general administrative and clerical support.
•Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
•Additional tasks as necessary.
We need a student who is available to work Thursdays and Fridays, from 8:30am-5pm.
Payrate: $8.15/hr
