Academic Previews

Fall 2009

As a prospective student to the University of Pittsburgh, you may wish to sit in on a class during your visit to campus. Please, be our guest! The following is a list of classes that University professors have agreed to allow prospective students to sample.

PLEASE NOTE that classes do not meet on Monday, September 7th (Labor Day); Monday, October 12th (fall break); and Wednesday, November 25th through Friday November 27th (Thanksgiving recess). The last day for undergraduate classes is Friday December 11th.

Due to fall break, classes normally scheduled to meet Monday, October 12th will meet on Tuesday, October 13th. Tuesday classes will not meet this week. Please follow the Monday class offerings on Tuesday, October 13th.

If you take advantage of this opportunity, please be sensitive to the following:
  • Do not disrupt the class in any way.
  • On some days, examinations will be administered. We have no way of monitoring that schedule and suggest that you quietly leave the class if this is the case.
  • If you wish to speak to an instructor, please do so after the class has ended.
