FILM AND PITTSBURGH

If you've seen any of movies listed below you'll find the one thing they have in common is that they were all filmed in Pittsburgh. Over the years, the city has been an increasingly popular location for Hollywood and independent feature films. The Film Studies Program at the University of Pittsburgh offers a series of interdisciplinary courses concerning the history, aesthetics, theory, and production of cinema. The program provides courses in critical studies and, by special arrangement with Pittsburgh Filmmakers near the Pitt campus), courses in film, video, and photography production.
