Why study business?

In today's competitive society, it's important to set yourself apart--to develop a portfolio of skills which includes strong academics, internship experience, and solid leadership skills.

A business management education can be an important asset. Business students develop impressive analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the field of business and its key functional areas. Graduates are well prepared for careers in accounting, finance, marketing, consulting, human resources, and many other areas--as well as graduate programs like law and business.

UHC courses are designed to be more challenging than regular classes and to give students a broader perspective on the subject matter. UHC courses usually are smaller and are more like a seminar than a lecture. The UHC also provides an honors degree option that requires students to do an independent research project and defend their thesis before a faculty review panel.
